We are happy to release today the newest version of our airborne atmospheric correction software ATCOR-4 including new features and highlights such as an improved BREFCOR correction for better masking and generic model together with consolidated and updated topographic correction methods. Try now the updated version and enjoy the advantages of this software application in your remote sensing activities.
What is new?
- The default option of calculating the AOT(550nm) map is based on reference DDV (Dense Dak Vegetation) pixels and the average AOT is assigned to the non-DDV pixels.
- If a scene does not have enough DDV pixels (minimum 2 percent of pixels), a DDVS algorithm (DDV Substitute) is automatically executed using relaxed vegetation conditions but avoiding overcorrection of surface reflectance spectra.
- The AOT map over water bodies is calculated independently with the assumption of a water surface reflectance of 0.01 in the near-infrared (around 850 nm) spectrum.
- Optionally, an external AOT(550nm) map can be used. It has to fit the image size (columns, lines). The data can be 32-bit float, or AOT scaled with a factor 1,000 and stored as signed 16-bit integer or unsigned 16-bit integer. If the scene is named “scene.bsq” then the external AOT file is “scene_aot550.bsq” with a corresponding “scene_aot550.hdr”.
- The dehaze program contains an improved definition of the ’bright’ pixels, where the haze thickness has to be spatially interpolated.
- The range-dependent adjacency correction (up to 5 adjacency zones) is now also supported for batch jobs.
- The calculation of the water vapor map with the option of band regression now also supports the combination of bands from the 940 nm region and the 1130 nm region.
- The de-shadowing with the matched filter algorithm is improved for batch processing and includes some iterations and plausibility checks.
- Improved BREFCOR correction for better masking and generic model.
- New TELOPS Hyper-Cam LW import.
- Updated ITRES CASI, AVIRIS-NG, and SPECIM AISA import functions.
- Consolidated and updated topographic correction methods.
